Safe Gas Rwanda

Founder / Executive: Liban Mugabo

Leadership profile

A specialist in national-level strategic planning, research and finance, with strong professional experience across the public, private and NGO sectors. He holds two Master’s degrees, in Economics and Public Policy. He is currently Managing Director of Safe Gas Rwanda, a major LPG company in Rwanda. His previous experience includes Goldman Sachs, the Office of the President of Rwanda, the William J. Clinton Foundation’s HIV/AIDS Initiative, On the Frontier (OTF) Group, Rwanda Investment & Export Promotion Agency (RIEPA), and other private-sector and government offices.

Safe Gas operates in the LPG and energy sector, with a focus on the distribution and retail of cooking gas and on safer LPG solutions. Mugabo has also contributed regularly to public discussion on Rwanda’s socio-economic and energy-development priorities through strategic commentary in The New Times.
